Allison earned her BSN from Indiana University Bloomington in 2014 and her MSN from the University of Indianapolis in 2018. She began her career in Labor & Delivery, spending six years at the bedside before moving into leadership roles — first as an OB Manager in 2020, and later as Director of Nursing over Maternity and NICU departments in 2025.

Throughout her career, Allison participated in several root‑cause analyses following IV medication errors. Each time, she noticed that the proposed interventions were variations of existing processes — none addressed the core problem. That realization sparked an idea: what if a simple, standardized visual cue could change everything?

From that moment, Able Guard took shape. Allison began sketching designs for color‑coded IV pump coverplate accessories that would help nurses instantly identify high‑risk medications at the point of administration. The prototypes proved that a low‑cost, reusable, nurse‑friendly tool could fill a major gap in patient safety — one that had persisted for years across hospitals nationwide.

Beyond her professional life, Allison is a proud mom of two and has been married to her high‑school sweetheart since 2017. She loves adventuring, discovering new coffee shops, and spending time with friends and family. Her children, ages 5 and 3, are her greatest joy and daily inspiration. The unwavering encouragement of her loved ones has fueled her determination to pursue innovation and bring Able Guard to life — a product built on compassion, experience, and community support.
